How We Measure Your Pool — Drone Precision

How We Measure Your Pool — Drone Precision

Most pool companies still measure liners and safety covers by hand — stretching tape measures across the water with the old “A-B” method. It works, but it leaves room for human error, and on free-form pools it can mean liners and covers that don’t fit quite right.

We do it differently. Credible Pool & Spa measures your pool with Kaydrone™ drone technology — we fly a drone over your pool and capture precise overhead imagery that becomes an exact digital model of your pool. Kayden calls it “measuring without measuring,” and it’s the most accurate way to measure for a liner or safety cover.

How It Works

  • We fly a drone over your pool, capturing high-resolution, top-down images of the entire pool and deck.
  • Those images are processed into an exact, to-scale digital model of your pool’s true shape and dimensions — every curve, step, and corner.
  • Your liner or safety cover is then manufactured directly from that model, so it’s built to fit your pool — not a rough approximation.

Our drone capturing a real pool measurement.

Why It’s Better Than Hand Measuring

  • Pinpoint accuracy. The drone captures the true shape of free-form pools, radius corners, and features that a tape measure can miss or distort.
  • A better fit. A liner or cover built from a precise digital model fits tighter and cleaner, with fewer wrinkles and gaps.
  • Fewer errors and remakes. No transposed tape numbers, no guesswork — the measurements come straight from the model.
  • Faster and less invasive. No draining the pool and no shipping an old cover back as a template.
  • A permanent digital record of your pool’s exact dimensions for the future.

We Use It for Liners and Covers

Most inground pool liners and mesh safety covers we order are measured this way, then manufactured by Kayden — a certified-dealer partnership built on precision and fit. For some pools a traditional measurement is still the better call, and we’ll tell you when that’s the case.
